Scott works at the University of Hertfordshire as a Principal Lecturer in Geography and Transport Planning and is undergraduate Lead for the Geography, Environment and Planning Programme. He was previously employed at the University as a Transport Planner and continues to advise the University’s transport strategy. He recently set up a new MSc Transport Planning degree working with industry, local authorities and sub national transport bodies with the purpose of addressing the shortage of new entrants into the transport planning sector.  Scott is Director of the Smart Mobility Unit (SMU) which links his professional role with academic research interests.  He recently chaired Transport East’s call for evidence report ‘Rural Connections’, which set out a set of strategic and practical recommendations for improving transport in rural areas.
