TUAL is a Scottish-registered clean-technology company helping commercial and mission-critical fleets electrify sites where grid capacity, cost or lead times make conventional charging impractical. Its flagship PowerUp Charger combines high-power CCS DC charging with integrated lithium-ion battery storage. The unit harvests available electricity during low-demand periods, stores it and delivers rapid charging when vehicles need it—without waiting for extensive grid reinforcement.
Designed as compact, zero-dig and deployable infrastructure, PowerUp can be installed quickly, relocated as operational needs change, and connected from as little as a 16A supply. Remote monitoring, diagnostics and predictive maintenance support dependable fleet operations. Applications include utilities, emergency services, logistics, construction, defence, rental and dealership networks, commercial property and remote industrial sites.
The technology has demonstrated strong relevance in Scotland. During a three-month field trial at Scottish Water’s remote Moffat Waste Water Treatment Works, the charger achieved 100% uptime, delivered 70kW charging and was commissioned within 34 minutes. Scottish Water subsequently placed an order for further units across remote sites.
TUAL’s aim is simple: remove charging infrastructure as a barrier to fleet electrification, enabling organisations to deploy EVs sooner, reduce reliance on public charging and diesel, protect vehicle uptime and progress confidently towards net-zero operations at scale.
