As part of the Government’s strategy to improve air quality across the UK, discouraging the use of older, more polluting, vehicles is key. The goal is to reduce the number of areas in the UK where air pollution breaches legal limits, and city by city, we are helping local, regional and transport authorities kick-start their ‘Clean Air Strategies’.
Ultra-Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) have a significant role to play in cleaning up the air. The authorities have a strategy, and this event will feature keynote presentations and group sessions that will enable YOU to find out more, and more importantly, the role that YOUR BUSINESS has to play.
Harrogate Council is keen to encourage the uptake of electric vehicles, as well as, developing a strategy to install electric vehicle charging points across the district. The main aim of the strategy is to increase the number of electric vehicle charging points in the district, by establishing a network across the area to meet different, individual needs.
The Harrogate district has a number of air quality management areas, where the primary contributor to poor air quality is road transport. They are looking to support the transition to electric vehicles to improve air quality across the district.
