ONLINE: 1st, 3rd & 5th JUNE 2020
GREENFLEET365’s AMP ULEV eROADSHOW is a 3-day online event series addressing air quality and clean growth strategies across the Midlands and Warwickshire. These FREE-TO-ATTEND events are designed for professionals looking to explore the very latest in ultra-low emission vehicle technology, charging, sustainability and strategy.
Supported by West Midlands Combined Authority and the region’s local authorities, you can expect to hear the latest in Government Policy, with support from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and gain insight into the latest incentives and information available. The Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT) will offer an insight into what innovative vehicle technology is on the market NOW, and what is in the pipeline for the future.
If you work for a public sector organisation, we also have the very latest on staff, fleet and public charging as well as, Frameworks from the Crown Commercial Service (CCS). And to cover the national infrastructure plans and capabilities, we have expert advice from National Grid. The climax to the eROADSHOW will focus on the Midlands Future Mobility project, looking at Smart Cities, connectivity and future-proofing the region as we head towards 2030.
Environmental law charity ClientEarth has recently stated that any air quality improvements brought about by the current Coronavirus Lockdown are likely to be short lived.
The government remains under a legal obligation to clean up the air across the country and has committed to keeping any delay to Clean Air Zones as short as possible. It is therefore vital that preparatory work to draw up local air quality plans continues and that help and support for businesses across the country to move to cleaner forms of transport should be part of the package of stimulus measures to help drive our economic recovery.
The AMP ULEV eROADSHOW takes the ‘Clean Air’ and ‘ULEV’ agenda online, focusing on the Midlands and Warwickshire regions in three highly targeted webinars which take place over three days - 1st, 3rd and 5th June (World Environment Day).
WHY SHOULD YOUR BUSINESS CONSIDER MAKING THE SWITCH?
Clean Growth...
The Government’s 'Road to Zero' strategy outlines how the government will support the transition to zero emission road transport and reduce emissions from conventional vehicles during the transition. The strategy is long term in scope and ambition, supporting the Clean Growth Industrial Strategy and considers the change, opportunities and risks up to 2050 and beyond. To acheive this, the UK needs to discourage the use of older, more polluting vehicles and reduce the number of areas in the UK where air pollution breaches legal limits.
Where are these reductions required? Within YOUR Business!
City by city, the GREENFLEET Road-2-Zero Roadshow is helping local, regional and transport authorities kick-start their 'Clean Air Strategies'. And here, we have decided to apply this successful format to the Midlands, with the AMP ULEV eROADSHOW.
Take the 'ULEV Journey', together...
Ultra-Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) have a significant role to play in cleaning up the air. The authorities have a strategy, and this event will feature keynote presentations and group sessions that will enable YOU to find out more, and more importantly, the role that YOUR BUSINESS must play.
There is no need to do this alone... The AMP ULEV eROADSHOW will highlight how YOUR AUTHORITY and the UK GOVERNMENT can help YOUR business embark on a 'ULEV Journey', together!
It makes financial sense...
- Cars with CO2 emissions of less than '50g per kilometre' have been able to claim a capital allowance worth 100% against the purchase.
- The maximum grant available for new electric cars is £3,000 while the maximum for a new electric van is £8,000.
- Fully zero tail-pipe emission cars costing up to £40,000 and with zero tailpipe emissions, are exempt from all road tax in the UK.
- From April 6th 2020, there will be NO benefit-in-kind charge on electric cars with emissions of up to 50g/km CO2, potentially saving nearly £5,000 a year.
- According to a comparison carried out by The Greengage, an electric car can cost as little as 2.6p per mile, as opposed to petrol cars, with a cost of 9.4p per mile.
The AMP ULEV eROADSHOW will highlight that 'making the switch' makes financial sense to YOUR business... and YOUR staff!
