Project Manager, Portsmouth International Port
Jerry Clarke has worked at Portsmouth International Port for the past thirty years. He is not only an assistant harbour master and a pilot for ships visiting Portsmouth, but has also driven forward the port’s sustainability agenda as project manager of many of the green developments that have taken place.
The port has bold air quality plans to tackle emissions and carbon reduction. It’s important for the ports industry, for the city and will ultimately help Portsmouth become one of the UK’s first zero emission ports. Projects that Jerry is working on, such as smart batteries and green hydrogen production, will help them get there.
