#CommergencyGREENFLEET
THE EVENT FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLE & EMERGENCY SERVICE FLEET OPERATORS
GREENFLEET have been asked to look at staging a LIVE event addressing ‘Commercial Vehicle Fleets’ and another for the ‘non-frontline police, ambulance and fire fleets’… With such a massive cross-over in terms of strategy implementation, with emergency services having huge commercial vehicle requirements, it seemed sensible to bring everything together at one venue, on one day.Already crowned “Commergency GREENFLEET”, we will have a comprehensive gathering of commercial and emergency service fleet operators, with dual seminar streams running, meaning delegates can switch from one to another, based on picking the keynotes that they have most interest in.
And as with ALL Live GF events, test-drives and break-out sessions will also be an integral part of the day!
The electrification of UK fleets has gathered real pace over the last few years, despite the pandemic. It is generally felt that the whole ‘electric car’ narrative has arrived, been embraced and will now kick-on at great pace. The next shift, in terms of strategy, is how we clean up our commercial vehicle fleets… Electric vans and trucks are here, and the industry opinion appears to be that growth in this sector will be much quicker than that of the electric car. But there is also a feeling that ‘electric’ is still not the ONLY solution. Gas, in the form of CNG and LNG, especially in LGVs, is seen as vital, and we cannot forget Hydrogen either.
Commercial GREENFLEET will look at all these aspects, with seminars, break-out sessions and test drives too.
One sector that has more difficulty than most, in terms of electrification, is the UK emergency services. Putting front-line ambulances and fire trucks – Appliances – to one side, and concentrating on the ‘support’ fleet, made up of cars, vans and trucks, there are solutions available that can help them on their own net zero strategies. Throw charging and infrastructure into the mix, combined with staff training, vehicle recovery and generally things such as ‘length of shift patterns’, meaning vehicles are often out on the road for very long periods, they have a really tricky job ahead, and we have been asked to help. After two years online, gathering ‘blue light fleet professionals’ together, we are now going Live!.
Emergency GREENFLEET will look at all the above, with seminars, break-out sessions and test drives too.
