Paul Kirby

Event Host / EV Essentials
Paul has nearly 30 years automotive industry experience specialising in the LCV sector and championing the transition to an electric future. Previously leading commercial vehicle and electric vehicle strategy for a number of organisations including Vanarama and LeasePlan, Paul's goal is to engage and get people thinking about the challenges of EV adoption and the latest innovations in the LCV sector.

David Hurren

Co-Chair, Gas Vehicle Network Committee
David Hurren graduated from Imperial College in Chemical Engineering.  For most of his career he has worked in the Industrial Gas industry, apart from a 4 year spell in water & wastewater treatment. For the past 20 years he has worked for what is now Air Liquide UK, setting up and leading  Air Liquide's Biogas Solutions operations in the UK.

Giles Kinnersley

Account Director - Commercial Division, Connected Kerb
Giles is the Account Director heading up the commercial division at Connected Kerb and has over 12 years of experience in the EV industry in Business Development and Strategy in the UK and globally. Understanding the challenges and solutions to transitioning to EV’s Giles brings a wealth of experience and strategic planning.

Lorna McAtear

Fleet Manager - Global Procurement, National Grid
Recent winner of the Barbara Cox Automotive Woman of the Year award, Lorna joined E.ON as an IT Project Manager before moving to the fleet team to head up group-wide telematics and carbon reduction projects, subsequently being appointed Commercial Vehicle Manager.  

Jason Torrance

Assistant Chief Executive, UK100
Jason is Assistant Chief Executive for UK100, the only network for UK locally elected leaders who have pledged to play their part in the global effort to avoid the worst impacts of climate change by switching to 100% clean energy by 2050. Jason previously worked at Greenpeace, Sustrans and Campaign for Better Transport, and has also been seconded into the Department for Transport to consult on walking and cycling initiatives. In addition, he has co-chaired a stakeholder advisory group for Highways England.

Rob Gould

Head of Programme Office, Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV)
Rob Gould is the Head of Programme Office in the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), responsible for running the governance of OZEV’s programme of work, briefing, Parliamentary correspondence and international engagement, amongst other responsibilities.

Nigel Base

Commercial Vehicle Manager, SMMT
Nigel has been Commercial Vehicle Manager at SMMT since March 2011, following an entire career in the automotive sector. Starting as an apprentice at a local garage and then going on to study mechanical engineering, Nigel then ventured overseas to the world of business management running a truck dealership. Whilst there, he also set up a contract hire/ leasing company, became Managing Director of an EV vehicle engineering business and found time to slot in a stint in the defence sector. His last role before joining SMMT was as Aftersales Director for Volvo Trucks.

James Mackintosh

Public Sector Manager (Toyota & Lexus) - Toyota GB PLC
James joined Toyota in November 2018, to oversee the north of the UK, handling their public sector fleet and business customers. With extensive experience in the fleet industry under his belt, through his time with Nissan GB and JCT600, his knowledge has become integral in communicating Toyota’s Self Charging Hybrid Technology to SME’S and Public sector organisations across the north and Scotland.

Andy Gray

Business Development (EV Charging Solutions), Ground Control
Ground Control appointed Andy Gray to lead Business Development for EV Charging Solutions. By adopting Ground Controls same energy-conscious approach and technologically driven solutions, Andy has been helping to support the transition to electric transportation, so that corridors,  businesses, workplaces and cities everywhere can thrive with less air and noise pollution.

Jade Brighty

Policy Advisor, OZEV
Jade Brighty is a Policy Advisor in the Stakeholder Engagement, International and Briefing team in OZEV responsible for briefing the Ministers on latest OZEV policies and corresponding with members of the public and other stakeholders on current policies. Jade was part of the OZEV team that successfully delivered the first International Electric Vehicle Summit held on 11-12 September 2018, as requested by the then Prime Minister Rt. Hon Theresa May MP, which was held over two days in Birmingham and at the Millbrook Proving Ground

Jacob Roberts

Transport Policy Manager, Renewable Energy Association
Following his role at Cenex as Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Specialist, Jacob is now Transport Policy Manager at the REA. Throughout his career, which also includes three years with the Energy Saving Trust, Jacob remains a passionate protagonist in the transition towards zero-emission modes of transport, specialising in electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, low carbon economic development and local government policy and administration

Mathew Kiziuk

Regional Manager for Fleet Sales and Dealer Development for Harris MAXUS UK
Mathew Kiziuk was appointed Northern Regional Manager for Fleet Sales and Dealer Development for Harris MAXUS UK, part of The Harris Group. With 17 years’ experience in the auto trade including 7 years’ working with electric vehicles, Mathew has been heavily involved in the EV revolution, including within his former role as Regional Development Manager at Renault UK as well as his involvement with The EV Café.

Amanda Lyne

Managing Director, ULEMCo Ltd
Amanda has nearly 20 years’ experience in the hydrogen industry, having previously founded fuel cell company ACAL Energy and through her consultancy business Burgundy Gold Ltd, is a specialist in the commercialisation of clean tech.  She founded ULEMCo in 2014 to commercialise globally unique UK capability in hydrogen technology to convert commercial vehicles (from LGV to HGV and specialist utility vehicles like refuse trucks, gritters and sweepers) to run on hydrogen, either using the company’s technology for hydrogen dual fuel or applying their know-how and experience to developing zero emission engine vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell integration.

Gary Jacobs

Business Development Manager, Vattenfall Network Solutions
Gary Jacobs has worked in the electrical industry for over 12 years, providing electrical solutions to the generation, industrial, and manufacturing markets. In his previous role, Gary worked with the DNO and nuclear markets, securing £56m+ in contracts. 

Johannes Hermann

Project Development Manager, SSE Energy Solutions
Johannes works as a Project Development Manager at SSE, where he develops EV Charging Hubs in and around London. He’s working with public and private landowners and fleet operators to find, evaluate and develop attractive locations into EV Hubs. 

Olly Craughan

Head of CSR, DPDgroup
Olly  has been with DPD since 2012, joining  as a Depot General Manager, where he ran the DPD Lincoln site covering one of the largest territories in the network and delivering 13,000 parcels per day.

Emma Loveday

Fleet Risk Consultant, DriveTech
Emma Loveday is DriveTech’s fleet risk consultant, and works with DriveTech’s larger commercial clients to recommend relevant and effective driver risk management programmes.
 

Matt Dillon

Head of Commercial Vehicles, LeasePlan
With over 13 years of experience in the fleet and leasing industry, Matt joined LeasePlan in 2021 as Head of Commercial Vehicles taking on responsibility for their CV proposition.  Prior to LeasePlan Matt was Fleet & Plant Manager at Amey, which operates one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the UK.  He subsequently held senior strategic account management and operational management roles within Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, including responsibility for several of their key commercial vehicle fleets

Malcolm Wilkinson

Head of Energy, National Highways
Malcolm is a chartered civil engineer who heads up the Energy and ITS group in National Highways and is currently leading their work on HGV de-carbonisation. He has had a variety of roles in the company including delivering major projects, managing the maintenance and renewals across the South West and leading the designated funds programme. He was responsible for delivering Highways England’s EV charge point programme in Road Period 1 and is supporting the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) on Project Rapid.

Rob Anderson

Senior Fleet Specialist, Cenex
Rob is a Senior Fleet Specialist at Cenex and has worked within the low carbon vehicle sector for over 20 years, helping businesses transition their fleets to low and zero emission vehicles and other efficient methods of transport. At Cenex, Rob leads their Fleet Support Services team, responsible for managing a portfolio of low carbon consultancy projects and providing low emission vehicle and technology consultancy and auditing services for a range of public and private sector fleet clients.

Denise Beedell

Public Policy Manager, Logistics UK
Denise helps to deliver Logistic UK’s urban and environmental logistics policy agenda, in particular, proactively leading Logistics UK’s policy work on vans, including publications, information services and discussion forums in connection with policy and regulatory issues. Denise joined the Logistics UK from the Federation of Small Businesses, where she was Development Manager for Greater London and led on Transport, Environment and Crime policy issues in the capital.
