As one of the two Requirements Deputy Managers in the MOD’s Sustainable Road Transport Programme, Mik’s main role is the coherence of the 10 Top Level Budget Holders within Defence and the Delivery Team to gather the requirements for the next White Fleet leased vehicle contract in the MOD.  

The Sustainable Road Transport Programme also works closely with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, which manages the charging infrastructure rollout to ensure it meets the Greening Government Commitment of 25% ultra-low emissions of all M1 and N1 vehicles by the end of December 2022 and 100% emission free at the tailpipe by the end of December 2027. Currently MOD Abbey Wood met the first target with over 26% in December 2022.

Mik is the Military Transport Specialist in the team, and one of two veterans, having served 22 years in the Royal Air Force in transport and 14 years in differing transport-related roles in the MOD.
